Best Impressions Catering, in Charlotte, NC is hiring a full-time Pastry Sous for its South End catering business. This job provides health insurance, a flexible schedule, and free holidays. Will have creativity and input in menu and recipe development for buffet, plated, and displayed desserts as well as breads and other specialty items. Pays $12-$15/hr based on skills and experience.

Duties / Required Skills

  • Write, organize, and prioritize prep lists
  • Inventory and order stock
  • Work pastry action stations at public and private events
  • Complete multiple cooking tasks simultaneously
  • Maintain and reinforce standards in Pastry Chefs absence
  • Ability to manage a variety of people at different skill levels
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

Must have a minimum of two years of experience in a professional bakery setting. Associates degree or higher in baking and pastry preferred, but not required.
