Kids (18 and under) are invited to bring their own already carved pumpkin to enter the Junior Competition. Winner will receive a very special prize. A gift basket full of toys , goodies, and silly string!

In addition to the carving festivities, we will have three educational demonstrations:

1) Susanne Dillingham of The Tiny Chef will be providing an on-the-cob popcorn shelling and popping presentation. Popcorn on the cob will be removed with old-time equipment and popped with a popper onsite.

2) A apple cider press demonstration and sampling will be performed by Coldwater Creek Farms.

3) A beekeeping demonstration by Art Duckworth of Apple Orchard Farm.

But wait!  There’s more! Magician/balloon wrangler Scott Link on hand to wow the kids of all ages – and a local artist Sarah Pollack will be doing caricatures.

Lenny Boy Brewery will be on hand with a special sweet potato beer.  As a ticket goer, adults will receive a souvenir CARVED 2014 cup good for two 8oz pours and one ticket to vote for your favorite pumpkin. We will be selling more tickets if people want to vote more than once.

Advance tickets are still on sale. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Kids 18 & under: $5 (unless they bring their carved jack-o-lantern and then it’s free!) Proceeds go to Piedmont Culinary Guild and Slow Food Charlotte’s Farmer Fund.
