Eric Williamson Secretary

Co-Founder of Coldwater Creek Farms in Gold Hill, Eric Williamson was raised in Cabarrus County. He attended North Carolina State University and has degrees in both Food Science and Public Relations. He also serves on the City of Concord Storm Water Advisory Board and is Vice Chair of the Cabarrus County Health and Human Services Advisory Board.

In 2009, Eric along with Brad Hinckley founded Coldwater Creek Farms – which is now the largest local provider of organic produce in Cabarrus County. The farm offers an annual CSA (Customer Supported Agriculture) program serving over 400 families throughout the Piedmont.

Managed by Donna Clark and Brad Hinckley, Coldwater Creek Farms products can be found at several farmers markets in Mecklenburg County. In total, CCF grows over 35 different types of vegetables, grains, and herbs. Everything from arugula to zucchini – and is the largest producer of organic garlic in the Charlotte area. Recently, CCF started milling their own flour from wheat harvested on their farm.

Eric continues to follow his passion for bringing local organic foods to the tables of local homes and restaurants. currently focusing on making these connections stronger by his participation in PCG. “Participation in the Guild allows me to bring ideas and issues concerning the local food movement to a group of people also dedicated to the cause,” he says.
