Dani Rowland Board Member
Dani Rowland started in the hospitality industry at the age of 14. Over the next 20 years, Dani moved from waiting tables to various other positions in the front and back of house. Dani received an associate’s degree in Culinary Arts from Central Piedmont Community College, an American Culinary Federation accredited program.
In 2010, Dani and her husband began a new culinary adventure … farming. They started at the Elma C. Lomax Incubator Farm in Concord, NC with just one row of vegetables they called “Rowland’s Row”. Since those humble beginnings, Rowland’s Row Farm has grown into an 18-acre homestead in Gold Hill, NC where the couple raises pastured, GMO free poultry (laying hens, broilers, and ducks), as well as a variety of USDA Certified Organic fruits and vegetables.
Dani has been an active member in her local food community since 2OO6, most recently as the President of Piedmont Grown and as a member of the Cabarrus Farm and Food Council. In 2015, Dani and her husband were named Beginning Farmers of the Year by Carolina Farm Stewardship Association.
