Tara Ebersold Board Member

Tara Ebersold was born and raised in central Florida. At a very young age, Tara learned the love of sourcing local and growing your own food. She spent a lot of time in Upstate New York in the garden with her grandmother, or shopping small local Italian markets to help prepare meals for her family.

At the age of 18, Tara moved to Charlotte, NC to attend Johnson & Wales University and fell in love with the Piedmont region. Tara loves to travel and be outdoors. You can often find her kayaking, camping, or spending time in her garden with her dog and chickens. Whenever she gets a break from work, she often travels around the globe. She gets a lot of her ideas and passion for new flavor combinations along her travels. She is known for her fusion cuisine, with a focus on fresh flavors.

Through out her life she has worked for a wide variety of culinary aspects. She has worked everything from fine dinning with a variety of culinary focuses, to casual fast dinning, to catering, to being a farmhand. Tara has appreciation for everything she has learned along the way from working below a variety of chefs, the only thing she was missing was her true passion for sourcing locally. In 2014, she and her husband, Brenton, decided to open Bleu Barn Bistro food truck and catering company where they could put all their experience together and focus on the local sustainable product they truly desire.

To this day, Tara strives to source seasonally, locally, and sustainably for both her food truck and catering company.
