Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden kicks off their Wild About Summer Series with Wild About Gardening, a family-friendly event that will feature a variety of activities, vendors and demonstrations – including a mixology demo by PCG Member Bob Peters of The Punch Room.
Bob will be using local produce to create unique cocktail punches made with North Carolina crafted spirits: Muddy River Distillery’s Queen Charlotte’s Reserve Rum (PCG Member, Caroline Delaney), TOPO Distillery’s Eight Oak Whiskey (PCG Member, Esteban McMahan), and Doc Porter’s Gin.
In addition, Wild About Gardening attendees can take advantage of a variety of activities and demos geared towards kids and families, including:
Shitake Mushroom Log Demo
Science Walk
Garden Pinwheels
Good Pests vs. Bad Pests
Bee Hive Demo
York County Extension’s Canning Station
Sow Much Good
Lunch, snacks, beverages and more will be available for purchase.
