PCG Members Cat Carter and Lynn Caldwell are hosting the fourth annual Farm Hands at fellow member Jason Alexander’s Free Range Brewing, in Charlotte, NC. This event raises money to help local farmers fund their “big ideas,” projects that will help them farm better, smarter, and more sustainably.
This year’s microgrant finalists are:
Ardea Homestead Sanctuary
The Farm at Dover Vineyards (PCG Member Elizabeth Anne Dover)
Windcrest Farm Organics (PCG Member Mary Roberts)
The evening will feature local craft beer and a locally-sourced Sunday supper created by PCG Member Greg Collier / The Yolk and @Dawn – as well as Michael Rayfield / US National Whitewater Center and Matthew Krenz / The Asbury.
Attendees will listen to local farmers present their ideas for projects around the farm and then vote for recipient of the Farm Hands microgrant.
