Free Range Brewing – Order/Fire – Ana Shellem (& Oyster Roast)

PCG Professional Members Sarah Alexander and Jason Alexander of Free Range Brewing welcome fellow member Marc Jacksina as he hosts the latest episode of the popular order/fire series. This month, Marc sits down with Ana Shellem of Shell’em Seafood Co.
Ana turned a hobby into a business in 2017, when she was looking to step away from bar and restaurant management. Shell’em Seafood Co. is a It is a sustainable wholesale seafood business located in Wrightsville Beach, NC. Some of her clients include The Stanley, Heirloom, Fin and Fino in Charlotte – as well as Rhubarb and Cucina 24 in Asheville.
“I love that it’s a really honest job,” Shellem told Wilma Magazine last year. “I love that I’m in control of it, and that I get to work with people who share my passion and appreciation for the products.”
The video viewing will be accompanied by an oyster roast. A suggested $10 donation will get attndees an order of six wild NC oysters and choice of three sauces. In addition, Free Range Brewing will debut Sea Of Companions, an oyster stout collaboration with Shellem (made with oysters she harvested).
There will be a raffle drawing, with prizes that include goodie bags of shellfish and dinner for two (featuring Ana’s shellfish) at The Stanley, among other prizes. All funds raised will benefit The Community Culinary School of Charlotte.
Roast begins at noon. Viewing begins at 2pm.
Cost: Free for the viewing. Oyster Roast: $10 (suggested) Raffle tickets: $10.00 each.
