PCG Member Mary Roberts will be conducting a hands-on workshop designed to help you get the most from your fresh baby ginger harvest and preserve a stash for the year.
Learn why fresh, local and USDA Certified Organic ginger is so important to your health and the history of how this unique products became part of the Windcrest Farm story. Visit the grow house and harvest fresh baby ginger. Experiencing the aromatherapy and delight of pulling fresh, pearl white baby ginger from the ground is a unique experience for ginger lovers!
Prepare your ginger for use and storage – it’s all about roots, rhizomes, and greens. By embracing the whole plant, pulled from our nutrient rich soil, you will gain new appreciation for this delicious, nutritious and medicinal plant.
Preserve the harvest – we will show you how to prepare your fresh ginger for year-long freezer storage and provide you with the opportunity to process your ginger fresh from the ground during the workshop.
