SUMMARY:PCG Tastemakers - Meetup at Middle Ground Farms
DESCRIPTION:PCG Member Dan Kypena will be hosting PCG Tastemakers for a walking tour of his Middle Ground Farm in Monroe\, NC. You’ll see cows\, hogs\, goats\, quail\, ducks\, chickens\, and livestock guardians\, and learn about the natural and responsible way Farmer Dan raises them. You also see the progress of the farm’s future events site\, “The Pond”. \nAfter the tour\, Dan will share the benefits of pasture-raised animals\, while you enjoy a taste of Middle Ground Farm turkey plus sample Lenny Boy Kombucha or IPA beer\, courtesy of PCG Member Townes Mozer and a craft cocktail made with PCG Member George Smith‘s Copper Barrel Distillery Moonshine and locally-sourced ingredients. \nDan has already started his flock of turkeys for the holiday season (that’s right\, farmers have to plan well in advance for your high holiday feasts) – and you’ll have an opportunity to reserve your holiday turkey at this gathering. Anyone who buys local turkey knows these birds are hard to come by later in the year. So if you wish to serve something truly special this holiday season\, you will want to reserve yours sooner rather than later. \nThis will be a great event to bring your dad along on this Father’s Day Sunday. \nNote: Remember\, you’ll be on a farm\, so boots or closed shoes are required to keep your feet clean and your toes protected. \nThis is an Exclusive PCG Tastemakers Event\nThose wishing to attend the event must RSVP via the Tastemakers website or via their eMail invitation. PCG Tastemakers may add guests at $15.00/person \n[themify_button style=”xlarge” color=”#E2E71F” text=”#000″ link=”http://tastemakersclt.com” target=”_blank” ]Learn More about Becoming a PCG Tastemaker[/themify_button]
