The session will examine the history of food media in Charlotte and assess the way our current climate helps or hurts our collective culinary culture.

Recently stepping down as the Food Editor for The Charlotte Observer after a 34-year stint at the paper, she is currently involved in several writing projects. She is the author of several books, most recently Distilling the South: A Guide to Southern Craft Liquors.
