The Loyalist Market – Server / Server Assistant

The Loyalist Market in Matthews, NC, is looking for a part-time Server / Server Assistant. The selected applicant will primarily have Server duties Wednesday and Thursday nights – and Server Assistant duties Friday nights and all day Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers when they walk in the door ready to offer the best customer experience.
• Communicate daily with cheesemonger to understand which cheeses are at their peak.
• Taste cheeses/charcuterie, accoutrements, and wines to make perfect pairing suggestions for guests.
• Have working knowledge of retail products in stock.
• Ring up purchases at point-of-sale.
• Assist with taking inventory.
• Washing/drying of bar glasses, dishes, and utensils.
• Proper opening and closing duties of workstation.
• Help stock shelves with retail products.

Candidates must have prior experience in specialty food sales. Cheese/charcuterie, beer/wine, customer service is a plus.
